USV has evolved from a reliable producer of Dosage Forms and APIs to a process-driven and research-focused company with an emerging global base.
The focus on research in protein and peptide production by recombinant and chemical synthesis has yielded excellent results, with most molecules in pre-clinical and clinical stages .
USV has also entered into a license agreement with Biotech Consortium India Ltd. (BCIL) to scale-up, manufacture and market a novel conjugate typhoid vaccine developed by a team of scientists at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. The project is supported by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. This project would give USV a foray into the new niche area of vaccines.
