The focus on research in protein production by recombinant process has yielded excellent results, with most molecules in pre-clinical and clinical stages.

USV has also entered into a license agreement with Biotech Consortium India Ltd (BCIL) to scale-up, manufacture and market a novel Conjugate Typhoid Vaccine developed by a team of scientists at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. The project is supported by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. This project will give USV an opportunity to explore the new niche area of vaccines.
