INGREDIENTS
Dobutamine HCl injection Concentrate (20 ml) Each 1 ml contains 12.5 mg of dobutamine hydrochloride

INDICATION
1. Acute Heart failure & Cardiogenic Shock
2. After Cardiac Surgery
3. Chronic heart failure
4. Septic Shock
5. Pharmacological Stress testing

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION
The usual optimal dosage of Dobicard is 2.5 to 15mcg/Kg/Min. It should be given only by continous IV Infusion. Dosages upto 40mcg/Kg/min have been used. Dosage related tachycardia may limit dosages higher than 15-20mcg/Kg/min. Dobicard can be diluted using 0.45 & 0.9% normal saline & 5% Dextrose and lactated Ringers solution. It is incompatible with alkaline solutions,including 5% Sodium Bicarbonate. The optimal dose must be determined for each patient based on the response of the cardiac output, heart rate ,BP and other haemodynamic variables.
